Political Canvasser


Responsibilities:

  • Voter contact, both canvassing and phone banking, using specific language and messaging designed by the campaign to improve turnout
  • Data entry while canvassing
  • Meeting daily canvassing goals
  • Canvassing during afternoon and evening hours, along with weekends – up to total of 30 hours a week

Qualifications:

  • Self-starting and energetic personality
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Interest in politics and increasing voter participation
  • Ability to commit up to 30 hours a week, primarily during afternoon and evening hours, for canvassing and phone banking
  • Ability to quickly learn campaign technology
  • Canvassing and phone banking experience preferred, but not required
  • Bi-lingual a plus
  • Reliable transportation a must

Training:

Canvassers will receive in-depth training from some of the top political and organizing leaders in California.

Office Manager

The Office Manager will be a key part in managing the day-to-day administrative, financial, and human resources functions. This role requires a strong background in QuickBooks, a thorough understanding of California HR policies, and exceptional organizational skills to support our growing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily office operations, including coordination with vendors, handling office supplies, and ensuring a productive office environment.
  • Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and expense tracking.
  • Administer HR functions such as employee onboarding, benefits management, and ensuring compliance with California labor laws.
  • Support the leadership team in scheduling meetings, coordinating travel, and handling company correspondence.
  • Work closely with the team to provide administrative support for ongoing projects and client engagements.
    Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Office Manager or in a similar administrative role.
    Proficiency in QuickBooks and solid bookkeeping/accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of California HR policies, including wage and hour laws, benefits administration, and workplace compliance.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a marketing, political, or public affairs firm.
  • HR certification or formal training in human resources.
